Hello, everyone! Welcome back to the Kids' English School blog. Today, we're taking a trip around the world to see how students in different countries experience the end of the school year. Here at Kids' English School, May is winding down, and summer vacation is just around the corner! But what about our friends learning English in other places?
In Japan, May is actually still very much in the school year. Unlike here, the school year in Japan starts in April and finishes in March of the following year. So, while we're packing away our textbooks and notebooks, Japanese students are still hard at work preparing for their final exams. However, they do have a special celebration in May called "Golden Week," a series of national holidays that give them a chance to relax and recharge before the final push.
Across the Pacific Ocean, in the United States, the school year schedule can vary depending on the location. Some schools finish in May, just like us, while others might have their last day in June. But one thing's for sure – just like us, American students are definitely looking forward to some summer fun!
Learning English opens doors to understanding different cultures and how people live around the world. Although the school year might end at different times, one thing remains the same – the excitement for summer vacation!
